Flooring
We left the laminate flooring that was in the front part of the house because it was still in good condition. We installed it 4 years prior to this rehab. We only had to replaced two planks that were bad.
We did take a gamble on leaving this flooring because we were going to install a light grey luxury vinyl plank. The vinyl plank we used was bought at Lumber Liquidators for just under $2/sf. We used it for the rest of the house to replace a combination of vinyl tiles in the bathrooms, old Pergo wood in the kitchen, laminate in the game room, the closets and carpet in the 3rd bedroom.
Paint
With advice from our Real Estate Agent, Nik Shehu of Nik Shehu Property Group (https://realestatebastrop.com/), we decided to go with a light grey color for the walls. Having used the color "Greige" from our recent remodel for our rental in Converse TX, we decided to with Greige for the entire house. We learned about this color from several articles on www.BiggerPockets.com. about how this is a great colors to use.
We used semi-gloss Greige for the the interior walls and semi-gloss white for the trim, baseboards, doors and bar. For the exterior, we used flat Greige for the walls, decks and semi-gloss white for the trim, facia and pillars.
